Education activities

EDUCATION bears utmost importance among the activities of WIREC. Although due to the continuous development the analytical instruments become more and more reliable and their use is getting simplified, in order to provide correct results the qualified experts and their continuous education are the most important factors. In it intends WIREC to take a role...

  • Within the basic university courses and student laboratory practices we give lectures   on the today possibilities of the separation science.
  • The students who are interested in the chromatographic techniques can perform their Undergraduate Research Program Work (TDK) in our laboratory and following the graduation they can perform their PhD work at us.
  • The students trained in our laboratory become thoroughly familiar with the chromatographic techniques and have practice in the sample preparation methods and in working with the chromatographic instruments.
  • We regularly keep thematic trainings for our partners where the novelties of the area are presented. On our instrumental trainings the students work in small groups with the equipment, on the software trainings the students can work on separate PC-s. Our lecturers are well known experts of their professions having wide range experiences and practices on their territories.

The HPLC training Passed off

On the 11 – 12 of April 2006 our liquid chromatography experts ran a basic HPLC training in the facilities of the Chemical Institute of ELTE TTK.

During the two-day program first lectures were held on the basic knowledge of the liquid chromatography then the attendance took part on basic user and maintenance practices. The lecturers from Dr. E. Wessling Chemical Laboratory Ltd. were Andrea Egresi PhD and Antal Tolokán PhD from Kromat Ltd. Róbert Pál and from EKOL László Tölgyesi. The participants came from the four largest domestic pharmaceutical factories. As a highlight of the two-days program spent with learning in a pleasant atmosphere was a
demonstration on the Agilent 1200 system.

On the 16 – 20 of April 2007 our liquid chromatography experts ran a HPLC training in the facilities of the Chemical Institute of ELTE TTK.

During the five-day program first lectures were held on the knowledge of the liquid chromatography then the attendance took part on basic user and maintenance practices. The lecturers were László Tölgyesi PhD student and two students Izabella Csernyák and Emese Solymos from EKOL. Participants will use the knowledge in order to develop a new quality control laboratory of pharmaceutical. As a highlight of the five-days program spent with learning in a pleasant atmosphere was a demonstration on the Agilent 1200 system.

New Generation Chromatographic Software

On the 12 of September 2006 we ran a ChemStation training in the facilities of the Chemical Institute of ELTE TTK.

The recently marketed new 32 bit ChemStation is definitely more than a version release. That system brought significant modification along in the software. Our scholarship holder László Tölgyesi and Róbert Pál  the chromatography expert of Kromat Ltd. held an interactive training for chromatographers in order to present the new features of the software and to give possibility to practice working with it
